Worth watching?

From all of the people I have talked to who have seen this it seems to be decisive: half said they loved it and was a touching movie while the other half said it was a boring slog to get through. Does anyone else have any insight to see if the movie is worth watching?

WATCH IT...THEN YOU TELL US THE ANSWER.

Well, the reason I was asking was I am watching my 6 year old niece on Saturday and wanted to know if is something she can enjoy watching with me or if she will be bored to death. She is too young for the Elephant Man and Dune, so I figured this could be her introduction to David Lynch. I would rather have her watch something she has never seen than put on Encanto or Moana which she has seen over 10 times.

AT SIX...I'M THINKING BORED OUT OF HER SKULL...MY DAUGHTER IS ALMOST 16 AND SHE IS JUST NOW STARTING TO APPRECIATE DRAMAS.

Disney and Lynch together at last.

It's probably the most, ahem, straightforward film he made, but it's also one of David Lynch's very best. A magnificent film.

I also think, however, that a six year old would be bored out of their box. As you say, if there are grown adults who think it's a slog, I can only imagine how someone in single-digits would respond.

Fair enough. I was just hoping there is a Disney or age appropriate movie I can show her that she may like and she has not seen 10 times.

If you're someone who complains when "nothing happens" in a movie, you're not going to like it. If you don't mind slow pace and little to no plot, you might like it.

I watched it and loved it. I have no problem with slow moving films. My niece on the other hand, wouldn’t be able to get through it.
