MATRIX 4-5-6

What about a new Matrix trilogy ? Let's have a positive and creative discussion about ideas. Here are some of them :

- Prequel trilogy that tells the story of how the machines went from slaves to masters, about the war and the creation of the Matrix

- Prequel trilogy telling the stories of the 5 other Ones, Neo’s predecessors (Merovingian, Seraph may be previous Ones)

- Sequel trilogy of how the peace didn't last that long, as peace is not a natural human situation and the humans tried to regain dominion over machines and the Earth

- Sequel trilogy of how the machines and humans achieve peace, restore the earth, and finally set out on the path to their mutual potential as a coexisting civilization.

- Sequel trilogy to serve as an expansion on the original trilogy, revealing that there are multiple Matrix programs and multiple human cities (multiple zions) on separate parts of the world and that the Neo’s matrix covered 10% of the free/enslaved humans.

- Sequel trilogy about the solution to the conflict between machines and humans, by merging of AI and humanity into a single, unified race of superhuman cyborgs

Another direct sequel to Revolutions would be the continuation of Sati's sub-plot from the original trilogy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXBXD44Ymww 5:08 to 5:41.

The Oracle accepted to be betrayed by Rama Kandra and his wife (who sold her termination codes for her appearance to the Merovingian, who attacked her and destroyed her old appearance, probably thinking he would delete her entirely) in order to ultimately "obtain" Sati. In fact, the Oracle said she "had to", as she foresees that Sati will play an important role in both worlds in the future.

Do you guys think the Oracle would want to try to replace the program of the Architect with Sati, as the Matrix's new Architect? I mean, Sati "architects" a nice sunrise for Neo, but she has no ability to program the Matrix.

Or maybe the Oracle would want Sati to be the next Oracle, as in the original trilogy the Oracle teaches Sati how to "make cookies", a metaphoric way of showing the Oracle is transferring knowledge from her to Sati.

This idea fascinates me. I wonder, doesn't The One have to be human? Maybe they could have Merovingian and Seraph originating as humans in a prior version of the Matrix. In return for helping to reboot the Matrix by picking and leading the initial 23 residents of the new Zion, the machines could offer them the option to essentially live forever as programs inside the Matrix.

The Merovingian is not only extremely interested in corporeal pleasure but also an expert in it, so it would completely make sense that he started out as a human in a previous version! Great idea.

Great idea!
I think Disney should handle it with Kennedy at the helm.

Yes, I'm replying to an old thread.

Have you never seen the Animatrix? It IS the prequel story to the Matrix? The animation still looks good, probably watched it when you started this thread.

Your wish has come true, looks like it is being rebooted.

How about no?

reply

It's already happening.

5 and 6 are still up in the air.

A lot of us would like to see the Second Renaissance in life action Matrix movie form, but it would also be very depressing and have a bad ending, as it results in billions of humans being exterminated and the surviving ones placed into the first version of the Matrix. Poor endings may not always make for "hey lets go to the theater and rewatch The Second Renaissance" very practical.

That said, I think one day, we will get our Matrix prequel movies.

I am from 7 years in the future and Matrix 4 was terrible.

What about 5 and 6?

reply

Those will be worse than Part 4.

No more Zions.

Whenever they switch to Zion I switch off. It's boring. Hemp sweaters are lame.

Make it so they never reach Zion, because it doesn't exist. It's a folk tale to give themselves hope that escapees are living free.

At the end of the final movie when they free themselves, they reach Zion because they are free, and they make Zion then.

Keep it in the Matrix, do karate, gunplay with leathers, black clothes, and sun glasses.
