Abandoning Your Main Characters For A Good Portion Of The Movie.

Seriously, imagine if The Dark Knight Rises took the focus off of Bruce Wayne for 30 minutes after Bane throws him into the Pit in favor of John Blake's problems or if Spider-Man 2 took the focus off of Peter Parker after he quits being Spider-Man and focused entirely on Mary Jane's relationship with John Jameson for 30 minutes before focusing on Peter again with him confessing to Aunt May about Uncle Ben's murder, saving the little girl from the burning building, Doc Ock kidnaping Mary Jane, becoming Spider-Man again, etc. It would be weird now would it? Who in their right mind thought that taking the focus off of Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus (to a certain degree) for 30 minutes in favor of side characters we BARELY know anything about was a good idea? It almost felt like I was watching a spin off until the movie focused on Neo and Trinity again. Yeah we saw Morpheus a during the Zion Battle but he didn't do anything.

Maybe that explains why they shoved all four posters onto the DVD cover instead of just using the one with Neo, Trinity and Morpheus like the previous two movies did.

Didn't that kind of happen in The Dark Knight Rises haha. The Batman movie without Batman. Jk, i actually think that movie is really good.

reply

No, really. Batman wasn't in that movie.

Dude, are you actually using Spider Man and Batman as standards of writing? lol

Learn about movies and come back to talk please. You sound ridiculous.

reply

No he was using them as examples of movies...specifically the amount of focus on the main protagonist(s). He could just as easily have used any other movies that have protagonists, but his point would have remained the same and still would have gone over your head.
I don't like calling people names, but seems like you really had to go out of your way here to put someone else down. No, he didn't sound ridiculous, but you sound like a jackass.

Also, this guy seems to be pretending the Matrix movies are somehow above superhero movies. Matrix borrows heavily from the superhero genre and is just as “ridiculous”.

reply

Lol good point. Shoot, why hold your nose up at superhero movies anyway...the Dark Knight trilogy was amazing...loving the new Spider-man too.
