Definition of dull?

I watched it just once and kind of had the same feeling.

Really? I feel it's the opposite. This one of my favourite movies. I guess i can see that it's dull if action/war movies aren't your thing. I think after 20 minutes or so once it gets really going it's one of the most intense movies I've seen.

It’s a pretty faithful adaptation from the book and isn’t filled with needless Hollywood sub-stories. That may be why the op didn’t like it.

Dull? This film is as action packed as it gets.

I think part of the downfall is they are too good at recreating the confusion in battle and for me anyway it became confusing to watch and understand what exactly was going on. Yes, everything went wrong, they were trapped etc but it wasn't always clear exactly when and where things were happening. It's been a while since I watched it though.

It's dull if you don't have a pulse, sure.
