The guy who called his wife before the attack

If it was around 3 PM in Somalia it would have been 7AM at the latest (assuming she lived in the eastern time zone) so why would she be coming back from the grocery store? The store wouldn’t have been open at 7AM. She also looked like she had showered, done her makeup, etc and had been up for a while.

Such a dumb movie

Add another idiot to my ignore list.

You will be missed

My Kroger use to open at 5. Walmart was open 24hrs.

reply

But why would she be out that early?

reply

I think it was just a add into the movie to bring the soldiers had family like they did in the 12 strong movie. If I remember it looked like it was in the middle of the day with the light outside.

If it was 3:00 p.m. in Somalia that means it would have been 8:00 a.m. on the East Coast of the United States. I don't know if that would make any difference to you, but just thought I'd clarify that.

reply

It doesn’t and we also haven’t established she was on the east coast, she could have been in California for all we know

reply

The phone call was made by either Randy Shughart or Gary Gordon, I can’t remember which. It’s possible that their homes were in North Carolina.

I've done shopping at 6am. It's fun to miss the crowds. Depending on where she is in America the times couid vary.

Washington = 8am
Cali = 5am
NY = 8am
Texas = 7am

My guess is they didn't even think about that aspect and just wanted a human moment. Does that soldier die?

reply

Does that soldier die?

Yes, he is one of the two that rope dropped in to try and save Durant; the surviving pilot of the Blackhawk and who was eventually captured. Both he and the other guy were killed.
