Revisiting the 2000 original - still good?

Dylan Spicer takes another look at the original 2000 X-Men ahead of Apocalypse:

How do you feel about it now? I, for one, think it has indeed dated but was still massively influential and a good watch.

I think it's interesting to see how much stringer Wolverine is these days, compared to the earlier films.

In the first films, he is knocked out cold very easily (car-crash in the first film, and a simple 9mm slug in this one.

In the latest installments, he survives and stays conscious after saving a Japanese soldier from a nuclear blast and he can be shot, smashed, crushed and drowned and still keep ticking, even after getting his regeneration-powers temporarily taken away. :)

Interesting point. I assume you're referring to Logan?

Still good. X-Men 1 & 2 are grand adventures. The third leaves much to be desired, but it gets better again after that.

Unfortunately the timeline seems to have been erased......
