I don't get why Elf is so beloved.

it is not terrible film. it have few good scene, but it is not classic, just mediocres. greatest strength of film is it have good actor like james can and mary steenburgern. buddy's boss at store is funny. and snowball fight is good scene.

maybe it is classic when compare to shit christmas film that come out recently. but it is nowhere above mediocritys.

My wife and I saw it when it first came out and we weren't impressed. We watched it again last night and like it more, although Ferrell went a bit over the top at times and was annoying. We're going back and revisiting movies from the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s because there are few movies being made now that we enjoy. We might not have liked them much back then, but in contrast to the crap being put out today, they seem pretty good.
