How Many L Word Fans Watch OITNB?
I wonder how many L Word fans watch Orange is the New Black. Orange easily has a much superior female ensemble.

Oh yeah! I noticed you were the first to reply to my "Cell Phone Battery" thread. In any case, I used to like The L Word; but have since grown to hate it. Season 5 was garbage on top of being borderline pornographic (if I wanna see lesbian porn, I'd go on Youporn.com and watch actual porn). I didn't even waste my time with Season 6. OITNB on the other hand is refreshingly original whilst boasting a respectably diverse female cast.

I cant wait for season 2 of OITNB (which the exact release date I dont know). Im actually sitting here watching some of season 1 of l word because i remember liking jenny and marina a lot. Its funny how I dont remember a lot of the l word. But OITNB has amazing actors. I think you're right about season 5 of the l word. If i remember correctly that was the season where Jenny was dating Nikki right?
My fave recent Horror genre films:The Conjuring,Evil Dead,Insdious 1&2, The Innkeepers, Sinister.

All L Word fans should check it out. It's a great show. It is also much better done. I think of the L word more as a guilty pleasure, whereas OITNB is a legitimately very good show.
shareI actually started watching TLW RIGHT after OITNB. I prefer the latter, but I think The L Word isn't bad. Just... not amazing lol. With knowing the ending of TLW and what they tried to do with an Alice spin off, I wouldn't mind them dropping Alice into OITNB.

morphine, you made me laugh. I can imagine Alice being convicted of Jenny's murder and being sent to Lichfield. She would be Piper's home-girl. Helena would give her advice on how to survive behind bars.

L Word was better. It had hotter actresses, more lesbian characters and storylines, and a great bohemian kind of writing (because the main character was a writer - it set the tone to the whole show).
shareI love oitnb... It's so well written, it's funny, has good drama. Well, I think it has the quality of an HBO show. Every character is great, I love all of them.
L Word is more about the life of lesbians in LA. The first 3 seasons were great, after that, it just went a bit downhill. After Dana, Marina and Carmen left, I think Alice and Shane were the only reason to watch it (and maybe Helena).
I love both, I was equally obssessed with the two shows, but Orange is better in terms of writing.

I agree mostly about OITNB having bettter writing. It seems like L Word got a little I dontknow what the word is towards the end lol. I still likethe l word but im more excited about oitnb.I cantwait to findout more about the characters and wow did the season finale leave us anticipating the outcome! Piper and pennsatucky that is.
shareI saw the L Word right after OITNB. Orange is better so far because there were very few characters who you wanted to root for or against in LW. Overall I think Alice was my favorite. I very much disliked Dana although I know I am in the minority. The Tina/Bette thing got a little old. I really was annoyed often with Kit. It seemed like her dialogue was over the top black especially compared with Bette. I thought I was going to dislike Shane but she ended up being one of my favorites too. Jenny was a train wreck. I also thought the acting was atrocious. I much preferred Eric Mabius in Ugly Betty.
sharewow I thought I was the only one who was not that fond of Bette and Tina. It's not that I dislike them. I was always looking forward to the other characters' stories. Hhhhmm I never thought about Kit being too over the top lol. I did like the story about Bette/Tina trying to have a baby. But to be honest, a lot of the times they just bored me.....more Tina than Bette. And yes, Jenny had a lot of issues. I can relate to her a little though when she was falling in love with Marina while in a relationship with Tim. Something similar happened to me. I was dating a guy (not married to) and fell for my best friend (female).
