When I first saw that, I felt sick. She was killed in probably one of the worst way possible, falling thounsands of feet to her death in a jungle, I could think of some other mean of taking her out, but the assassins grab her and toss her from a plane now that is definitely in the top most horrible deaths ever.
Don't worry, I saw Lord of the Rings. I'm not going to end this 17 times.
Now here's a thought; how to persuade the other passengers on the 'plane that they saw and heard nothing - and to keep their mouths shut afterwards. Or were they merely flying over a country where such things are accepted as an everyday occurrence?

My immediate reaction was that it must have been the Soviets. (because they were afraid she'd help the CIA? or just because she refused to help the KGB any longer?)
But folowing the pattern of the movie, it seems that when Ulyses tried to blackmail Mother over it (threatening to release evidence that Edwarsd's son caused the failure at the Bay of Pigs.) Ulyses was taunting Mother; saying I'll have an asset withing your own family. Mother was forced to get rid of the girl somehow. He probably wasn't involved in the dtails.
The whole pattern of the movie involves the Soviets using women to compromise men who are otherwise "untouchable".

As a former skydiver, I disagree it is a horrible way to die. While it would not be pleasant to be thrown out of a plane against your will (and without a parachute), once you are out you have a nice long freefall, which is an exhilarating feeling, and then die instantly upon hitting the ground.

When you're a skydiver, you know you're not going to die. You have control over it. When you're just thrown out of a plane, you're falling for however much time aware that you're about to be dead. It wouldn't be exhilarating, it would be horrible, especially for someone who had no warning of it, who started her day thinking she was about to get married.

The US has actually done that. They used to throw Viet Cong prisoners out of airplanes or helicopters. Their puppets did it too in El Salvador and Guatemala, with CIA officers present. They'd fly planes or helicopters out over the Pacific and just throw leftists out.
