the major is NOT hot! here is why*spoiler*

after seeing so many comments from immature viewers about how *hot* the major is, i feel like i need to explain why she isnt attractive at all. It's true that she wears a slutty outfit and it is true that her face is decent looking, but every part of her except her brain and spine is prosthetic for gods sake.
Also, her personality isnt feminine at all, before viewing the second season i even thought she was born as a man. she is shown as a fierce commander that is always in control with strong discipline, not influenced by her emotions which even a big masculine guy like batou cannot control. only until the end of the second season do we see her emotions get to her a bit.
all these qualities are anything BUT attractive, she is so manly!

I don't see how finding a particular character hot makes someone immature. It seems like you think people are immature just because they find someone/thing attractive that you do not. To me, Major Motoko Kusanagi is very attractive. I actually easily consider her the sexiest woman in anime and one of the sexiest of all time, but that's just me.

I know she's prosthetic but that doesn't bother me, as long as the resemblance to a real person is there which it is. As far as her personality, I think she's just very strong and independent, I don't see how that makes her masculine automatically. I just so happen to find woman the most attractive when they are strong and can hold their own. That's just me though

Kusanagi suffers from a contrived sexuality. Dressing a character as a hooker to create sexual appeal is just downright lazy. Which is ironic considering 'Japan' is enough of an excuse for a Officer Uniform that showed some skin.

There is no effort to create any kind of mannerisms for her that would be attractive, just random fan-serivce of her ass, and the odd slip of her sex life mid-converstation.

This weak kind of writing will appeal to immature teens who are not aware of these cheap hooks used to grab their attention and are satisfied with simple character development.
