SOTM was great. My family loved it. My kids and their friends found it hilarious. There are lots of fans here despite the whiners who are constantly pining for Jim Carrey. He was excellent in the Mask. Loved it. But he also hasn't made a funny picture for like ten years. And I just don't care. The whiners have made their point ad nauseum, they need Carrey or they're gonna have a break down or something. We get it. But the rest of us don't need Carrey to enjoy a movie. I liked the original. This one was different, but I liked it just as much maybe more because there was a lot more there than one stand out performance.

Totally agree. SOTM is not the worst comedy i have ever seen.
Better than a 2 star rating anyway.
Story was OK.
Comedy was funnier than Life of Brian. (not so hard to achieve, LOB is freaking annoying)
Loved the Loke and North Mythology in this.
Jim Carreys Mask if of-course the better movie, but SOTM is far from a bad movie.

these are the people who liked it... they dont even know what they have watched LOL... hollywood at its best, stealing ideas and bashing old religions... bunch of zionist satanic thiefs is what they are.

seriously anyone defending or liking this movie...

I totally agree. This movie isn't THAT awful, people can't stand a sequel if it isn't played by their favorite actress/actor. I know, the acting was bad sometimes and some parts of the movie where almost unwatchable. Another reason why I liked this movie is Alan Cumming, I like all of his characters and he seems really underrated. He needs to appear in more movies.

Okay I admit it wasn't as awful as its reputation suggests but there quite a few flaws like plotholes in such. I did like the animated bits with the dog though, those were pretty funny.

No offense, even if Jim had returned to this movie, he wouldn't have made it better. I'm glad Jim stayed clear of it. It was that awful.
