Why Did They Leave?
Idiots! They had it made at the mall.
Simply come up with a better plan to bring Andy and his guns over (just use the sewers as they did at the end).
And then stay. Have a great time.
I thought maybe they believed an island would be better over the long term.
The movie definitely could have done a better job showing they decided that, though.
