The writing is BAD now, the chemistry is gone and everyone looks so old and decrepit. Bateman and Cera look ten years older than their chronological age, it's sad and weird and depressing.
I have to admit, after watching the second half of the fifth season, I think Arrested Development should've been one of those shows that stood canceled after three seasons on FOX. There's something special about it that the later seasons just didn't have.
Still, I had a few good laughs but wouldn't mind if this was the end.
I think this is why I have never watched beyond the third season. It's not easy to recapture the chemistry. I do own season 4 so I'm sure one day I will watch it. But the first three seasons I have watched many times. One of my all time favorites.
