Least favorite main character

Jim was the worst. no matter what situation he was in he always had that annoying "radio talk show host/car salesman" perfect voice. he just sounded completely phony.

he was a bully to. he constantly teased dwight and completely loved that he did it.

he was so obsessed with pam throughout all the seasons that he was kind of like a stalker. even when married he had to be with her 100 percent of the time

he almost makes the show unwatchable. all the characters seem to have odd traits so i honestly have to pretend jim is just playing the arrogant prick type character.

get rid of jim and its a much better show in my opinion

My gut reaction would be to say a character that I couldn't stand, and was always talking back at through the TV, like Toby or (to a lesser extent) Stanley. Ryan and Kelly certainly had their moments of pure annoyance as well. I also think the posters coming in here so vehemently defending Jim are living in some alternate reality, because his character was pretty much everything people are saying he was, and I spent a lot of time yelling at him on screen as well. Having said that, I've come to appreciate his character more in recent viewings, and I think a lot of the reactions he causes in people (or the people who defend him) has more to do with that person, and their personal experiences. Having said all that, I think in the end, my least favorite character, and the one I never felt had much of any point, and was mostly just cheap, stupid jokes, was Creed. I just never thought he added anything to the show. Except maybe weirdness... Which I guess was maybe his "point"...

Andy by far. I can't explain it but his presence on the show gets on my nerves. The time when he's not on the show is when it's the best

DWIGHT by far. Not sure why people on here like him, he really seems like a psychotic geek about to snap at any moment.

I'm a fan of the original BBC series which I watched well before the US series came out. I can't understand the hate for Jim (I have seen only some of the US series) as I found Martin Freeman's character Tim rather likeable and so was disposed to like Jim.

As for my least liked character, I'll go for the obvious: Michael Scott is awful for so many reasons. And Dwight Schrute is a clueless monster.

Season 4 & up Pam. She was cute when she was mousey but she crossed the line between assertive and bitchy once she started seeing Jim. I'm not surprised Danny (Timothy Olyphant) never called her back. She WAS a giant dork, and not in a cute way. Hated her in the last season when she wouldn't let Jim pursue his dreams, even though he always had her back for whatever venture she wanted to try (and gave up once she failed). I think she kind of knew that she wasn't good enough for him. I forget the specific episode but, there's a scene where she says "I've done my part for the nice guy. I married Jim". 😑 Always makes me cringe. She was no prize but it's funny that she thought she was. She'd still be a receptionist if she hadn't married Jim. 😂

Stanley, every season. He was just a jerk.

Definetly Pam.

She is opinionated, believes she is above everyone else's opinions. Treats people like Kevin condescendingly.
Gets abhorred when learns about Dwight and Angela are dating (she actually acts DISGUSTED like two people that she considers unattractive, are meant to be lonely and not find anyone.... EVER).
Also shattering Jim's dreams when kickstarting his own company, I found this the most selfish move her character ever played.
How she mocks Jim for using fabric softener , pretty much implying that he is effeminate for doing so when it's a normal thing to use in laundry.
The character shows feelings and at least develop an attraction for Jim, yet doing all this while having a fiancee , who despite being a dick to her, she should have dumped him in the first place instead of keeping an empty promise of marriage in an empty engagement. At the very least, she could have stoped Jim from hitting on her, being this a mockumentary we see her realizing Jim has feelings for her and yet, she doesn't do anything to stop it, or at least break up with Roy.
Finally , when they go to Roy's wedding, she feels jealous when Roy has moved on with his life and done well, despite she is in a good relationship with Jim.

The character is very well played, Jenna Fischer does a great job portraying Pam. Pam is the typical very good-looking girl, who thinks that deserves different treatment just because she is hot, and treats everyone who doesn't live up to her standard of attractiveness condescendingly and dismissive.

Also it's annoying that this site doesn't give any separation whatsoever from signatures.
