Did i miss something here?

Ok EOTM is not Schindlers List or some other poignant movie about about a very serious subject, Its simply a light hearted bit of fun with no strings attached and thats it.

Anyone that has seen infantile arse like any Scary Movie etc will understand what is a really bad movie.

I agree with the OP. This was one of the worst I have ever seen. The scene where the manager is telling them about Vince being the top employee of the month when his assisant farted was the worst. I sat there thinking, "Did that seriously just happen? They resorted to a fart joke in like the first 20 minutes of this movie". I think Dane Cook is a funny and talented comedian and I like listening to his standup, but this movie was just a joke and not funny at all. I turned it off when Jessica Simpson and Vince went to dinner together because I just couldnt watch it anymore.

Not worst movie EVER cuz I've seen some bad ones, but definitely a contender for worst comedy I've ever seen in my entire life. Simply put, there were just no jokes in the movie. None.

this movie was horrible
but i wouldn't say it was the worst ever
this movie would have been so much better if all major characters were replaced with ACTUAL actors
i mean really, dane cook is already not funny at stand up, why act?
dax shepard is just a guy who was lucky enough to know ashton kutcher and gain a career from it
and jessica simpson is well... jessica simpson, big boobs can only get you so far, and acting is way beyond reach for her

not the worst ever but it is kind of important for a comedy to be funny and this not funny at all. I actually found myself depressed after watching half of it. Dane cook is awful, Jessica Simpson manages to be even worse. Its all in all pretty witless. Its a woeful steaming pile of excrement. Still - better than sleepless in seattle.

Huh, well, if you say so. That's just your opinion. I saw the film last night and although I normally don't like American comedies like this (romantic comedies aside) I really did like this one! I thought it was so silly how important the entire ''win employee of the month'' game was. That's why I think you shouldn't take the film to seriously. Watch it as a fun, light film. :)

Plus, to everyone dissing Jessica; I didn't think she was that bad at all. I didn't cringe or whatever and I think the people that do are not watching the film but are watching her as a Newlywed-character. I guess there'll always be people who WANT to be annoyed and complain because her character was kind of charming and the film was sweet, I think. Sure, no Silence of the Lambs, but it's a comedy and you have to view and enjoy it as such.

Anyway, I enjoyed it. So did my mom (and she realllly doesn't like the standard American comedies) I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks, but I had to post this simply because I was amazed that anyone could think this film was the worst ever.

...by the way, has anyone else noticed nearly all films on imdb have a topic with that title? Seriously..it's pathetic!

I like Dane, Jessica, Andy and Harland. I'm not an angry guy who kicks puppies either. Ilove dumb and dumber and something about mary and a whole slew of comedies. This movie was bad and not funny.

Sorry, I'd have to disagree with the OP. I bought this in a frenzied buying spree in a dvd store, frankly expecting the worst, and was pleasantly surprised. I actually laughed out loud several times. If you think this is an example of a really bad comedy film, I'd encourage you to broaden your horizons by checking out, say, 'Are We Done Yet?'

Actually, to find the worst movie ever, you'd have to look at an earlier Efren Ramirez movie: Napoleon Dynamite. This doesn't even come close to that.

I didn't care for this movie at first because all I kept thinking was how much better it would have been had there been an entirely different cast (especially Cook...can't stand the guy for some reason. Oh, and Pedro sucked). But...it was on TV every day for months and it grew on me and for some reason I like it now and think Vince Downey is the man!
