Anyone catch the Jackson Pollock reference come full circle at the end?

If you know what I’m referring to let me know. I thought it was a clever bit by Mann, and only recently caught it, and I’ve seen this film countless times.

I don't understand what you are talking about.

The first time Sonny and Ricardo meet José Yero, Sonny pulls out a grenade in a bitchin’ cool move, imo, and Ricardo says,
“I’m gonna tell you what’s gonna happen. People are gonna come in here, and you know what they gonna say ? They gonna look around and go ’Oh ah, hell. That’s some crazy mother-fucking wallpaper, what is that? Jackson Pollock?‘”
Followed by Sonny, “No, viero. That was José Yero. Got splattered all over his own wall.”

And how did Yero die, splattered/painted in Jackson Pollock fashion onto a wall by a Benelli M4 Super 90 shotgun, fired by Ricardo.

Like I said, I’ve seen this film countless times and only just caught that reference come full circle. Well played by Mann.

Yes, I caught that too, but not until I saw your post and re-watched it. Very nice catch!

I've seen it several times and don't think I ever would have picked that up. Great catch.
