I ran across an excerpt of this season three episode on YT. Immediately went to Amazon. And bought a copy just of this episode. It’s scary and brilliant!

I hear “Midnight” annd “Listen” are very scary too. Anyone care to comment?
shareBlink is a great episode but often is recommended to new fans which is a mistake as it's a doctor lite episode so not a good example of a general/average doctor who episode
Midnight is actually the opposite as in its companion lite and is mainly companionless. I think you'd love midnight as it's a very simple but effective episode. It's hard to really say much else without spoiling.
I'd say listen is okay and has some good ideas although it helps to know a hit about the show as there's some references in it. Isn't required but it helps. The other 2.episodes are more stand alone
I thought The Empty Child was good. The premise was creepy. Didn’t see the second part though Dancing Doctor.
Is Silence of the Library good for a beginner?
I recommend the doctor dances.
Silence of the library is a good 2 parter but it also sets up a lot of stuff, introducing a character that becomes important in the 11th doctors era.
The doctors wife is a good episode although not scary really although probably at bits. I have a soft spot for the Crimson Horror but I know a lot aren't keen.
Heaven Sent is also a great episode that's just the 12 doctor trapped but face the raven the following episode helps to understand what he is going through
I can't recommend "Listen," it's not good or scary. If you like the Weeping Angels, I would recommend "The Time of Angels" and it's following episode"Flesh and Stone." I also recommend "The Impossible Astronaut" and it's following episode "Day of the Moon." "The Angels Take Manhattan" is another good Weeping Angels episode.
