Yeah this This is always a problem with long running shows. Doctor who now has 60 years of history so it's going to be hard to get new fans in. Like a few I wasn't sure about renaming it season 1 as I thought it may add to the confusion. For those who don't know classic who used seasons although I don't think it was really promoted like that. They didn't really do season arcs. Then you have new who with series and then back to seasons with what I can only call new new who I think however the rebrand is the best way to let new people in, kind of like series 1 of new who in some ways, without having to do a full reboot and ignore the shows history. Also one good thing with the show is that with new companions coming as well as doctors, the doctor has to explain to the companion things e.g. that's a dalek, which can help new audiences. I would prefer this site to move the two doctor who areas together though for easiness I mean I suppose it's about the balance of getting actors who can act and who also look like the people they are portraying. They just look nothing like the Beatles. Apparently we are not getting any actual Beatles songs due to the costs which makes sense but then you would at least think they would find people who looked like them. Unless that's going to be part of the plot I've not watched this yet but woke is being used these days as a slogan with no meaning. It's like people coming back with your mamma when they can't think of anything to say. I'm a doctor who fan and someone was saying series 12 was anti white. This was the series with the first Asian actor to play the master who was working with an evil tech billionaire played by Lenny Henry of all people. The doctor was at the time played by Jodie Whittaker who was white and also Bradley Walsh plays Graham who is often seen as the wise voice of reason. When I pointed these facts out they said that's just exceptions. These people talk about agendas yet they have the biggest agenda People can run out of ideas as well and get lazy Yeah I was wondering how it would work with the fact that the British public fund the BBC via the TV license and it seems an odd move to make when people have been trying to get the license removed. I get why they have done it, as the US is a massive audience, but I believe the UK should always be the first priority. I've also seen US people saying that they have had to suffer with poor release dates and we the British are being very selfish to complain. Yet these people seem to not realise we've had to put up with this for many US shows, sometimes having to wait for months. It's their show and we put up with it but when they then get the better treatment on our own show, well it just seems wrong. I'm also not a big fan of having it go online before broadcast. If it has to, I'd prefer a better slot for UK viewers, even something like 9pm or 10pm but I feel by going online before broadcasting, it kind of ruins the community aspect I mean it's a little annoying that we have 3 movie boards now. It's also going online at midnight in the UK so it airs at a decent time for the US Woke has just become a word flung around without any meaning. People now use it rather than being honest Yeah the male presenting timelord line was bad. If it wasn't meant to be serious it could have been seen as a parody. The doctor was female just until recently but they seem to forget that. And the whole let it go bit made a mockery to Journey's End ending where it's life of death for Donna. I actually liked the idea of it being passed down to her daughter and the doctor never considering this, not realising it would pass down. If this was the thing that made it safer on its own then great, but surely the doctor would have considered removing it somehow. RTD had stated with things like the bigeneration that it'll piss fans off and it's weird to hear the show runner saying this. After the previous era where we often had a big divide, surely we should be trying to bring fandom together, not trying to divide them even further. Their will obviously always be people with different opinions and who don't like stuff the show in general and particular episodes so, but that doesn't mean we should actively try to annoy them I'll add I do worry they added too many mysterious. Not as bad as the Halloween Apocalypse, Flux's opener, but there is a lot of stuff. We have the meeps minions or something and their boss, the master, he who waits, Mrs flood, mavity, ruby's origins oh and the biregeneration View all replies >
