how The Flash couldve done 'Deadpool and Wolverine' box office

Called it 'The Flash and Batman'

Better CGI (lose the babies, tidy up the 'chronobowl,' no CG for Cage - have him as is, or Reeve - use previous 80s footage)

More DC cameos - Lynda Carter, Michelle Pfeffer, Ryan Reynolds, Margot Robbie, Terence Stamp, Mark Pillow (plus Winona Ryder as Batgirl, Demi Moore Poison Ivy). And maybe some throughout the movie not just at the end

Brought in Cage Superman properly toward the end to join the 'new Justice League' of Keaton Batman, the Flashes, Supergirl to help defeat Zod.

Cavill cameo (with fist pump reload action) e.g. if Zod had turned alternate timeline Kal-El evil and sets him against the new JL (Cavill Superman going up against Cage Superman! before getting defeated by Batman)

The Flash being the lead was an issue. He's just not as marketable as Wolverine or Deadpool (yes on paper he should be as marketable as Deadpool but D&W is the third Deadpool movie, the first two being hits, Reynolds has made the character a fan favorite), The Flash needed a bit more building up to get to be the lead of a big movie... Ezra Miller being a weirdo who people don't like really doesn't help.

You're right that mentioning Batman in the title and making him co-lead would have been a good idea. Should have been as much a Batman movie as a Flash one.

It was cool seeing Michael Keaton back as Batman but his tenure was 1989-1992, a lot more dated than Jackman's Wolverine (2000-2017, not including his return in D&W). Truthfully if Christian Bale returned instead of Keaton it would have been a much bigger deal.

Lynda Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer and co wouldn't have helped I don't think. We're going back too far in time to be of any real interest to current theatre attending audiences (especially in Carter's case, the WW show ran from 1975-1979... it may as well be ancient history).

Bale as Batman, Hardy as Bane, Phoenix as Joker, Margot as Harley & more Wonder Woman would all have helped this be a big hit. I would have liked more Faora too but I don't think that would have helped at the box office.

Yeah it just wasn't going to happen with Ezra headlining and his neurotic version of The Flash , but there's no way Bale was going to appear he himself may have been up for it but Nolan probably told him not to mess with the DK trilogy (I think I remember reading somewhere they wanted him at the end instead of Clooney) and neither would Phoenix joker (maybe Nicolsons joker couldve been resurrected via CG but then where to put him..?) Gadot WW could've had more to do more as she (was) quite popular but don't see where to out her beyond the cameo she had as you'd want to keep the 'nu JL' as it was to face zod (with maybe Cage Superman somehow lol)

Those are some good idea!

What tanked the movie was the Flash actor and character.

In the movie he was a jewish guy with a Woody Allen personality filled with self-doubt, etc. Meanwhile, Flash is a genius and thinks at super speed. So, they would have needed and actor like a young Jim Carry to play him. Weirdly, Ryan Reynolds could play Flash if he didn't have a history doing other things.

Flash needs to be "speedy" and not some socially awkward jewish guy.

A problem with Flash was making the character uncomfortable rather than cool and admirable.

If you had a fun actor playing Flash as a quick witted and smart guy and you mixed him with a serious Batman, that would have been amusing and adventurous.

I like Deadpool films but they are obvious comedies rather that serious stories with witty characters. So, when I watch Deadpool I'm always aware I'm watching a movie. Flash and Batman could have been way better than that.

Yeah basically Ezra sank the movie with his bizarre behaviour hitting the headlines every other week (and he just not a name like Reynolds)

Personally I don’t want better CGI but rather less CGI. All the lightning bolts get tiring after awhile.
