That scene is probably the only regret I have about watching this movie. It is seared into my memory forever. The way he was shaking in that chair, the leg meat white and exposed.

It was totally disturbing & unnerving. That was the whole point. It was probably also meant to drive home the absolute necessity of the protagonist to get the hell out of there in one piece.
shareI didn't mind Hostel as I actually felt empathy with Paxton, Oli and Josh and the kills did get blown very much out of proportion. With part 2, I still felt empathy BUT this kill and the one with the scythe really made me wince! Ow!

Who was the guy getting his leg eaten? Was he just a random victim or was he someone we were supposed to recognize? At first I thought it was the local with the big teeth who tried to warn/help Beth but when I saw it again the face doesn't match. Is it the guy from the hostel who was with Bijou Philips' character? Looked a bit like him but I thought he was one of the bad guys.

shareSurfed by just in time to hear Carmen and watch that scene of the cannibal! IRL, you can't get away with that; either the cannibal or victim! Raw human flesh would make the guy ill and the victim would go into toxic shock and not be able to just lay there shaking! Oh well, gotta keep us entertained with possibilities!
