There are so many great gay movies and unfortunately but not suprisingly even more bad gay movies.

Straight Jacket.
It's *beep* hillarious.

Or Lan Yu, if you want to get into all that angsty stuff which most gay themed films will revolve around (and Lan Yu is a mountain of angst)

In and Out, on the other hand is pretty *beep* It's even being trashed in All Over The Guy - a pretty neat comedy that revolves around one gay romance and one straight one.

I can't believe that it hasn't been mentioned yet (maybe it has and just has a different US name):
My Beautiful Laundrette.it's an amazing film, sweet yet real and, of the time, very socially and politically inclined.

Breakfast on Pluto - not sure if I'd call it a great film, but it's kind of interesting.

Hard Pill - yeah there are a few stereotypes but I think the underlying concept is very interesting and worth the watch.

Oh and I'll throw in the already mentioned Priscilla queen of the desert. Because though it is built around stereotypes, it does a good job at showing the real people underneith them! I mean, Ticks back story is well done, and they even prove that the annoying creature from Neighbours was a real person, heart mins, not just a two dimensional plot helper. And the older guy with the Transexual is a very cute sidedtory.
