Oh my god, the dork gets the hot girl??!!?

How unique, except IT HAPPENS IN EVERY *beep* MOVIE!!!

I'm tired of you, hollywood.

Can I just get an asian, female, lesbian, ugly lead character who is not a kung-fu master or geeky maths student? ... or something? anything.

Yeah, people love the underdog as long as the underdog is straight, white and male.

The problem was not really the dork getting the girl. It's a dorky loser getting the girl. Sure she might be fascinated by a guy making her smile, but after 6 months dating, would she still be fascinated by him? The guy wasn't that intelligent, coming from a rather bizarre gene pool, holding on to a dead-end job. The movie is like the gender-switching version of Cinderella.

Aye, that's what I thought when I was watching this film.

haha its true

but at least the dork really came across as a dork. i was watching an old tv show from my childhood. and there was this supposed "loser" who was always rejected by the girls. and i couldnt figure out why x) i mean he was charismatic and one of the cutest guys of the show! half of my girlfriends (and me) used to LOVE him.

thats because ugly girl&hot guy almost never happens in real life... i'm average looking and i got turned down by the school's pretty boy (thank god, then i realized he was a cocky idiot) because he said i was not that pretty. i'm not ugly, guys always call me "beautiful" and "hoochie mama" stuff on the streets, but i'm not supermodel material. really hot guys seem to think they are the best and want only "the best"(looking) chicks. or those girls who think they are the most beautiful in the world even if they're not. i doubt you'll see a shy dorky AND un-cute girl with the local heartthrob.

the other way around seems a little more plausible. dorky shy guys are kinda endearing (at least to me!) and the guy was not really ugly, just dorky.

One thing is certain Hollywood does have a certain stereotype of an under dog, and likes to play to the crowdSource:She's Out of My League - Movie Reviewshttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2010/12/shes-out-of-my-league-movie-re views

because mature adults don't base relationships on looks alone.

Movies like this show that two people who may be on different levels of what society sees as attractive can be together because they're legitimately compatible.

Just because you're too stupid to understand it, doesn't mean it's a plot hole

It is rare but it happens.

Just look at Paulina Porizkova and Rick Ocasek. They have been married for around 30 years.
