The celibites (sp) in this movie are pretty good, male or female. The bigger issue is that unnecessary inclusion of the two gay dudes

Pinhead should be intimidating, and it takes a man to be that. People keep saying, "You never read the book because Pinhead is a woman." No, Pinhead is not a woman in the book. The cenobites are just so scarified and messed up in the story that Frank can't distinguish their gender. There is one cenobite that is clearly a woman when Frank she's her naked and notices her pierced vagina, but that wasn't the Pinhead cenobite.
