The torture scene

So what exactly did they do to her? They didn't show it explicitly, they only showed reaction shots. Any ideas?

Keep your lovin' brother happy.

reply

They made her listen to Rebecca Black's 'Friday' repeatedly.

reply

LOL......

reply

that is sick.wouldn't she have the chosen the anal gangbang by smelly foreigners and beaten to a bloody pulp with a large , dirty pipe.
shouldn't every monica belluci film have her topless?

reply

I saw the bloody pipe but I wasn't quite sure what they did with it. Jam it up her pooper? brand her? It wasn't very clear.

reply

I believe they sodomized her with the pipe...If you remember back at the shelter where Raya was brought, the lady said that 'objects' were found in her. People like this make me sick!!! How can people treat another person like this?

reply

would you say that people that..do this are like worse than dogs or like they deserve mad cow disese..lol

"..and I mean that from the heart of my bottom.."

reply

it didnt look like blood on the pipe....

reply

By the degree of obtuseness demonstrated on this thread, I fear your totally obvious answer probably flew right over most of the heads here, sad.

***So I've seen 4 movies/wk in theatre for a 1/4 century, call me crazy?**

reply

I assumed they forced the pipe into her vagina. Same thing was done to Sylvia Likens except it was a Coke bottle.

WTF? Are you serious? What is wrong with our world!?

They inserted the pipe into her vagina. This would rupture her cervix, which is extremely sensitive and painful to the touch, let alone a pipe. Hence the blood.

The old lady in the shelter had previously mentioned objects were found inside of another girl. This leads the viewer to understand what 'type' of criminals they are and what they are doing to Raya later in the film.

IMO, any human being that treats another like this, is the scum of the earth. Animals treat each other better than this. There is survival of the fittest and then there is something I can only describe as inhuman and 'evil'.

I just paused the movie as I believe this part is next. I have a weak stomach when it comes to scenes like these; used artistically to drive reality home, it's just use of artistic license. I don't mind the overuse of "Friday the 13th" gore for that type of film, it doesn't bother me a bit; however, when you know it's representing a real act it's vastly different. Long way of stating I couldn't agree more with your last paragraph. Heinous, sick and inhuman. Animals do not torture they kill to nourish themselves. Only humans can be so disgustingly depraved.

reply

Interesting that we call such heinous acts "inhuman", when man is the only species that would perpetrate such brutality with the intent to inflict pain, suffering or fear on another. It does a great discredit to our animal counterparts.

Perhaps we should just call them "human"...

reply

True, but not all humans are like this. Human have the capability to do this, but not all of us do. Case and point: the fact that some humans rightfully call others inhuman (or inhumane). The humans who are not evil like that rightfully deserve to be called human. And in any case, no human being deserves to be treated in the manner that these victims are treated by such evil cowards. I sincerest wish is that those of us with sense could band together and make real change in stopping this. It is unbelievable how some people treat one another. I'm angry, mortified, and sickened just by watching it, so I can only imagine how the people who live through it feel. So sad. :-(

Human Trafficing: The best evidence I've ever seen that the Judeo-Christian god of "love" doesn't exist. Or if he does, he doesn't give a rat's azz for any of us.

The Judeo-Christian God of love exists!!! He just decided to leave this place a long time ago!... due to the evil inside of us, we scared him away. God only approaches pure souls.. and the only way he returns to Earth is for us to clean our sins either through retribution, atonement or death! but it would mean EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING! 99.999999999999% won't count!

Does he care about us? he does, but he will never interfere our free will! God wont save you if you do not want to be saved! Remember, life in this realm is temporary and even though the pleasures of the flesh are tempting: money, sex, power, family, and even health is just temporary. What matters is WHAT WE ARE, WHAT WE DO AND THE INTENTION OF WHAT WE DO!

Remember, that even in the face of Death you must never deny him!.. God sent us HERE TO DO HIS WILL... are you doing what he commanded you to do? Nice movie... wow... 2 hours well spent and just to criticize him. Think that maybe, just maybe he showed you that movie for a reason and you are still doing nothing more than criticize him in a movie forum as if he were responsible for human trafficking!!! I think the traffickers are the real ones to be blamed for it and that YOU AND I are sitting comfortably in our couzy couches with an ice-cold Coca Cola, Act II popcorn, watching the movie in a 60" brand-new Sony Bravia hooked to a 1000 Watt 9-speaker home teather system with Dolby Surround 5.1 and have the luxury to brag about it while our "sisters" in Bosnia are rendering sick human sex services for free to the soldiers WE PAYED TO PROTECT THOSE VERY "SISTERS"!

Carlos Mosquera

So... its ok to abuse these 14 year old girls, and your God is alright with that? And what of the girls even younger, both in Bosnia and many other countries... where they can be 4 years old and be trafficked... and what of them? Have any of them done anything wrong to deserve it? Have they sinned at an age they are not aware of consequence, let alone being responsible for being trafficked? So God was "scared away" by people who do evil things, and in the process completely neglected those (like the young girls in question) who need protection the most?

Oh but its OK for you, you're protected by God. I have a good salary, yet I don't have the TV and speaker system you speak of. I don't even know what they are. I donate to charity to stop these crimes rather than "bragging" about having these things. You should be ashamed, hiding behind your "God". Have fun with your "couzy (sic)couches with an ice-cold Coca Cola" while you observe the world around you and do nothing because you believe your Christianity absolves you from doing anything but. Yet there are people unlike you, even athiests, who work to DO something. So enjoy your coke and "couzy" couch while you reflect on this.
