Why would frequent consumption of human flesh cause your hands to shake?

Isn't human meat pretty much the same as any other meat?

Basically the closer the meat is to being human the higher risk there is of contamination if not properly prepared (i.e cooked).

So, one can fairly safely eat insects that are raw, or fish that is raw because it is structurally far from human. Beef is closer, but still fairly far so it's safe, but starting to get risky. Pork is very close structurally to human meat, which is why they can use it in surgery fairly safely (pig heart valves, and skin transplants for burn victims etc), but is risky to eat raw.

Human meat is almost guaranteed (if raw) to cause problems.

Naturally the cannibals would be be cooking their 'food' but it would not be very hard to not cook it properly, especially in those conditions.

So, no, it's not 'much the same as any other meat'.

It's an exaggeration. Degenerative diseases are a sure thing .... if you eat the brains. There are also proven problems if you consume the nervous system, glands and major organs. But simple muscle, like a cut of thigh? Shouldn't be a problem. It's just hard to avoid all that other stuff unless you're a butcher who is experienced in 'cleaning human corpses for consumption' and THAT is a skill set that is very uncommon. ;)
