Why so long?
Two Hours and Twenty Eight minutes? Very long for a horror film.
shareThe director took to heart all the criticisms the first one got and tried deliver what people wanted. Some people complained the first film was too short and didn't have enough story.
He has said the third film won't be this long. So it seems like this was done for a change, something different and he recognizes that he can't keep making very long slasher films.
The pacing was good for the runtime. So no issues here.

shareHe should stop taking things to heart. You can't please everyone and if you start diluting your vision to try to do that, you end up with something that pleases no one.
