It's a tradition for everyone to hate the latest Halloween film...

Then as the years go by...we eventually rewatch them and think to ourselves...this isn't that bad....and start putting it in the rankings of our favorite Halloween films. See you in 5 to 10 years when everyone is all but creaming themselves when word gets out that there is going to be a new Halloween film.

i give it 3 years or less if they make it anthology film without Myers, franchise won't be dormant for 5 to 10 years

I recall everyone was talking positively about the 2018 movie... it's currently at 6.5 on IMDb, but if I recall correctly it used to be in the low 8s.

I didn't watch that one in theaters but when I was finally able to watch it at home I liked it (still do).

Kills and Ends were pretty bad/boring though.

Part one was great! Part 2 very weak. Part 3 "what the hell did I just watch "

Yeah, it's getting old.
I enjoyed it and don't care about reviews.

No every major horror franchise movie of the 21st Century besides Freddy vs Jason will always be trash.
