Will Marvel/Disney really do a better job with the Fantastic Four?

I enjoyed the first two Fox movies as guilty pleasures, where as the Fant-4-stic reboot was a well-known mess that needs no elaboration. Director Jon Watts might have done well so far with Spider-Man (color-washed side-characters not withstanding), but with how Phase 4 has been so far, I've become more cautious than optimistic.

Back in the day, I was looking forward to the possibility of Marvel/Disney getting the rights back for Fantastic Four (and X-Men). We'd finally get movies that did the comics justice, only taking liberties in ways that made sense for an adaptation. But now, given how Marvel Comics has gone woke by gay/bi-washing straight characters in the comics, and has amped up the black-washing them in movies and tv shows as well as the agenda-pushing, I highly doubt they're gonna let the FF remain an all-white, all-straight team, and you just know that they're gonna do some cringe toxic feminist bs with Invisible Woman as well.

That said, on some level I think the Marvel higher-ups acknowledge the potential fallout from such decisions, even if they won't admit that publicly. EDIT: And with the massive success of the non-woke Spider-Man: No Way Home when compared to the other under-performing MCU movies in 2021, somebody somewhere has to notice that wokeness isn't profitable. But they're caught between a rock and a hard place, do they continue pandering, or do they give the loyal fans what they want? You'd think the answer would be easy, whichever means more money.

That's probably why we still haven't heard any substantial news about the Fantastic Four and X-Men movies, and why instead they're stalling for time by giving us stuff we didn't ask for like Shang Chi, Eternals, The Marvels, etc. They can risk doing whatever they want with comics, but movies? In a post-covid era? Do they really want to continue pretending they care about social justice issues despite their last batch of movies under-performing, or do they like money after all? Will they double down in stubborn pride on the pandering? Or will they actually give the real fans what they want, and make money from it?
