Entirely plausible 28 years ago.
shareYeah, i was sixteen when these events happened and i quite clearly remember a lot of people asking 'how far's that then'.
In fact even today at the age of 44 if some youngster says to me 'i'm 1.76m tall' i have no idea what that means. I still need feet and inches.
It's not really a question of uk /usa but more a question of older and younger viewers.
