Why?

Why do people like these cookie cutter, poorly written CGI fests? I just don't understand it. They're so badly made

This is your fifth thread created to troll this film.

Fred MacMurray would be very disappointed in you, as he LOVED this film in Movie Heaven.

reply

I think it's my 3rd and they are not trolling the movie. To ask a question or criticize something is not always trolling. Stop jumping to conclusions. From what I remember, I've asked how people could like all the CGI in one thread, why people would like the movie in general in this thread, and in a third I asked why does anything in this movie matter when there are no consequences for any of the characters involved.

reply

No consequences? Aunt May died, Peter has gone from being an incoming M.I.T. freshman to a kid with no high school diploma, MJ lost the love of her life, Ned his best friend, and that's just the core cast.

reply

What's stopping them from coming back again? The villains from previous films had been killed yet, with a cast of a spell they were brought back to life.

reply

No one was brought back to life with a spell. I don't think you paid attention to the movie.

reply

You don't understand the concept of multiple universes. In the next movie they could literally have someone that says "well in this universe _____ never died" or "we're gonna pull someone from a (previous era, different timeline, other universe) into this movie." It makes the possibilities endless. What am I misunderstanding?

reply

When someone dies, they die. That someone similar exists in an alternate universe is not the same as bringing someone back to life. If someone you love dies, and I could somehow pluck a similar person from an alternate reality, would you feel happy again, as if you never lost anyone? Of course not. It isn't the same person. It's like a clone, or twin brother/sister, but it is not even close to being the same person.

reply

How is it not close to the same person? They could literally have had the exact same experiences as the "original." With multiple universes the possibilities are endless.

The fact that this kind of magic spell even exists brings into question what other possibilities these superheroes could unlock. You're telling me that everything just seemed completely normal when spiderman is growing mechanical arms, or people are plucked out of universes, but it's totally unreasonable that someone could be brought back from the dead. This argument is just silly. They can and will do anything to fill seats regardless of the logic because they know that audiences are eagerly willing to look over shit like this.

The CGI is so well made, it brings excitement for the eyes. I haven't watched it, but the CGI in marvel movies is always great.
