The protagonist is a horrible person! He is terrible with his mother, with his daughter! Very selfish in all of his actions. It's impossible to relate with him

shareBasically he is just poorly written... out in the real world he is a terrible person... but somehow when he enters the game he cares about everybody... Then when he leaves the game (as the winner) he is a douche again until the game (old man) draws him in again... and he decides to take action... but again at the expense of his daughter...
The character makes no sense... which is why you really wanna punch him in the face...

shareI don't see him as a bad person. I see him as a man who has a serious gambling addiction that has cost him. He has good intentions but he can't stop gambling. That might be why he even returns to the game since it's a HUGE gamble.
shareI agree that he is not a bad person... but the way he is written makes him very hard to sympathize with because the in game and out of game person does not match...
I really don't understand all the hype this show has gotten... as it is mediocre at best.
