I found Arcane pretty confusing to follow.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I found the show pretty confusing. Does anyone else feel the same way? I don't need everything spelled out for me in a work of fiction (example, the complaints about Bruce getting back to Gotham in Dark Knight Rises). But I felt like a lot of times in Arcane, I didn't know what was going on. Just a lot of things felt unexplained and moved really fast.

- Why did Vander try to drown Silco?

- The whole timeskip

- Why was Vi sent to prison?

- And some of the characters needed a bit more backstory

Anyway, does anyone else feel the same way? I actually googled a lot of those questions after I watched the show, so I already have my answers anyway. Great show, but that's my biggest problem with it.

I personally had no problem following along. It was very clear that Vander and Silco had a falling out. They didn’t tell us exactly what happened, but like you said, you don’t need everything spelled out for you, right? The impression I got was that Silco wanted to go a radical route while Vander didn’t.

Not sure what there is to explain about a time jump.

They actually did tell us why Vi was sent to prison. Marcus was supposed to kill her but he didn’t want to. So he locked her up and threw away the key instead. This was all spelled out in the show.

Which characters did you feel needed more backstory?
