Does it make sense for a Princess to ride a dragon?

So, the older princess (Rae [something] nys, why do all of the female names start with "Rae" and end in "nys," makes it really difficult to follow whats happening) comes to crash the coronation atop her majestic dragon, in the process bashing through a significant amount of thick fortress quality stone. First, have to suspend my sense of reality because surely she would have been crushed in the process herself, or some fragment of a stone weight 50 pounds would have smacked her in the torso, face, stomach, etc.

I guess the dragon knows how to protect her from such danger, and a non-targeryan cannot ride a dragon due to genetic and security reasons.

Sure a princess can! Why would you think they could not? It’s in their bloodline, it’s their birthright, just as much as a prince or King. But I have to admit I was wondering about the same exact thing you just mentioned now.

When Rhaenys came up through the floor atop of Meleys, how was it that she being on top of her dragon was not hurt at all? That wouldn’t have made sense & it would’ve been a pretty dicey proposition for her to do that.

Even if the beast used his head by raising it to push through the floor, the stones still could’ve toppled onto Rhaenys & Meleys could’ve gotten hurt doing that so again good for dramatic effect but not the thing to do.

She could’ve just split, after all she didn’t do nothing to nobody, so what was the big to do about? But again it’s just a dramatic scene for effect.

Don’t forget the Velaryon‘s can also ride dragons, this you didn’t mention, so it’s just not the Targaryens that can. I”m not sure if it’s impossible for “anyone” to ride or tame them. That so far was never written into the books….yet, but who knows.

Rhaenys Targaryen wouldn’t break her oath to Rhaenyra & now it’s off to Dragonstone she rides. Have to wonder if Coryls is there too. Not sure. Will find out this week I guess.

Velaryons can't ride dragons, most of the ones on the show can because they have Targaryen blood.

In the world of showbiz "badass" carries more weight than logic.
