Totally falls apart after the second half

It was a terrible idea to cut the book in two halfs OMG ...The first half of the movie is watchable, although not that eventful, but after Duke Leto's death the movie is unwatchable incomprehensible and boring and it ends on a uninteresting cliffhanger .The diversity hire actors sucked big time ,especially Yueh and the gender and race swapped Dr.Liet Kynes.I didn't like Oscar Isaac he looked bored without the regal alpha male aura needed for the role(I would have cast Mel Gibson or Liam Neeson)
Timothee Chalamet is meh,Stellan Skatsgard is not scary at all as the Baron(even though he tried)but he is ok,Bautista is underused again in a Villeneuve film as Beast Rabban,Rebecca Ferguson as Jessica is good but her role is expanded because of the feminist agenda of the film just like Kynes.Villeneuve's Dune is as I expected it to be a Post modern mess,minimalistic,style over substance,boring(in the second half especially),pompous,self indulgent,soulless, with some terrible wooden acting and the worst of all it's forgettable ,the Dune saga should not be forgettable ...A very mediocre adaptation,not bad but also not good it's simply meh .I prefer the original Dune(1984) with all of its faults. It didn't have the spectacular modern day CGI effects,but it had a cinematic bravado and it was made by a true visionary master and not a hack like Villeneuve.
P.S. The House of Atreides in Dune are the descendants of the Mycenaen Atreides of Ancient Greece was it so difficult to put some mycenaean art in the movie??
P.S. 2 I think the movie will bomb hard in North America just like Blade Runner 2049 Villeneuve is Box office poison he doesn't know how to make a film about the general audience he is a self indulgent hack totally out of touch
