People who call Obama one of the worst presidents in history, or especially THE worst president in history, are complete morons with no understanding of history or basic research. In a hundred years, Obama will probably be remembered without the bias as an average mid-tier president who did good and bad. Here are some actual contenders:

William Henry Harrison: only had a month in office before dying of pneumonia on his 31st day as president. This was totally caused by his own actions, as he willingly stood in the freezing rain for ten hours to give his inaugural speech and refused to wear a jacket. Most of his time in office was spent being delirious in bed or totally unconscious. It's not entirely fair to call him horrible since he had zero chance to do anything, but his vice president...

John Tyler: only made it into office because Harrison died and gave him the spot. Once given the spot, Tyler instantly abandoned all of the ideas and promises he and Harrison had while they were running, giving voters a feeling of betrayal. His own cabinet up and left him and even tried to impeach him. Tyler was also seen as highly impunctual and unprofessional.

Franklin Pierce: remembered as a president who "did nothing". Spent most of his presidency mourning the loss of his family, who had died in a tragic accident briefly before his election, and was unusually reclusive. His depression is thought to have clouded many decisions and future events, including the "Kansas-Nebraska Act" which is often noted as first inciting incident for the Civil War.

Millard Filmore: another "did nothing" president who is only remembered for his lack of development on slavery. An open racist and pro-slavery president who's biggest accomplishment was creating and signing the Fugitive Slave Act, which required escaped slaves be returned and punished by law to their masters.

James Buchanan: a loud-mouthed, pro-slavery, unintelligent bigot who spent most of his presidency trolling the media instead of focusing on his presidential duties. He is said to have been the main driving force behind the Civil War, as he basically stated "there's nothing I can do to stop it; if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen." Many scholars agree that had he done something, or anything at all, the civil war may never have happened.

Andrew Johnson: tried to carry on Lincoln's legacy but simply didn't have what it took. Was seen as charismatic and unintelligent. Constantly gave the middle finger to congress and did little to help the south recover from the Civil War. Many attribute the reasons as to why the south was always developmentally behind (until very recently with population and technological booms in states like Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida) can be pointed back to Johnson.

Ulysses S Grant: although remembered in a better light now, Grant had to inherit Johnson's abysmal presidency and failed to make many improvements. He was a great military leader but wasn't seen as necessarily intelligent or politically prepared to take on the presidential position.

Warren Harding: although very popular among the U.S. citizens, Harding was a well-known crook with affiliations to the mafia. He used his power for personal gain, such as with the Teapot Dome Scandal, where he and his cronies benefited and profited from secret oil and banking deals.

Herbert Hoover: often blamed for starting The Great Depression and not doing anything to slow it down or fix it.
