One of the most awesome tale of friendship ever, like!

There’s a few prerequisites in order to appreciate this movie; you have to be in on the joke right off the start as it is one long, stretched out, absurd and peculiar joke. You also have to let yourself be absorbed and immersed into the film in order to live the experience to the fullest. In other words, no distractions. Believe it or not, as busy and noisy as my house is, I was able to have such a moment on a quiet evening. This movie didn’t make me laugh a lot but it was hilarious. If that makes sense. There’s no true plot yet the story focusing on the 2 men’s relationship was endearing. The scale of the dialogue is so small that it becomes larger than life. Just like the wonderful settings of Ireland; the natural and grandiose decor versus the trivial situations occurring make things even more sensational. I know, it’s weird but it’s true. A minuscule capsule in space and time, this film is magnificent and should be seen by all. The music was a voyage and the sights were transporting. Even the animals were part of the travel; the dog, the miniature donkey, the horse… The horse literally made me laugh at some point. One thing that is NOT a prerequisite is liking the actors. For feck sake, like, I don’t really care about any of the cast member yet I loved them all here. Colin’s facial expressions were as good as they’ve ever been. My rating: 8.5/10
