Why can't we just have a new Mad Max movie?

Upsetting as it may sound to you, speaking for me as a long time fan of the movies, it’s time to put Max to rest. He’s been out in the wasteland for how long now? He’s old,tired, dirty, not living his best life, it’s time to hang em’ up, & let him die. The magic of movies is to find a way to keep people young indefinitely no matter how many years go by. Max, Bond, (insert your choice here), etc, but it shouldn’t be that way I think. Time to let him die in a future MM movie & put his character to rest. We know where he came from, we know where he’s been, but face it, he’s not going anywhere, there is no future in that world. It’s the only other arc that he has now. Do the right thing & retire him with grace.

I still think that Mel Gibson should have been in "Fury Road." He IS Mad Max.

Because hollywood is full of shit.
