shareIt's an interesting twist that's for sure. I like the direction they have taken of Rambo finally attempting to change, mend his family wounds, and move in a forward direction with his life.
However, I hope it just doesn't fall in the cliche of "old war vet/mercenary puts past behind him, but is forced to do one last mission to save the ones he cares for story." I think Stallone is decent actor and an underappreciated writer so we'll see how it goes.
Yeah, I think this could work.
If Rambo was going to return to the States and just try to quietly live out the rest his life, then being a cowboy is the kind of thing that I would expect him to do. It's rugged. It's largely isolated. It would seem to suit the personality of a man like John Rambo.
Regarding the plot, my understanding is that the bad guys here are going to be the Mexican cartel, so I'm guessing that he lives and works in a border town (or maybe somewhere in Mexico) and the cartel comes in and starts causing trouble for the locals. And then of course he goes into Rambo mode and has to fuck them up.
