what a missed opportunity! Cool premise, but strangely boring

This movie is an example of lazy writing and filmaking.
Over reliant on other movies or just too plain silly to even care.

Love the smart geyser which goes off exactly when required and also does not burn the faces of our heroes, because there is no such thing as splashing or spay when an enormous geyser goes off 5 feet infront of you.

I agree. The concept was good, but the execution was flawed. I entered the movie expecting to see all sort of cool prehistoric creatures and landscapes. Instead, I see Jurassic Park

Speaking of missed opportunity, they could add more survivors at the beginning and then die one by one during the rescue mission. To enhance visual entertainment, they might use more advanced alien high-tech weapons and combat strategies in fight. Some trolley dilemmas would juice up the plot too.

reply

my god...yes! where the heck were you during script time? I would love to see that. and improvised weapons and more dino action please. Not just a dumb geyser

reply

Yeah, but then it would have been Prey.

reply

Agreed, such an interesting premise but it lacked so much (thanks to the weak script)

reply

I agree the idea had so much potential and was poorly executed.

The true enemy should have been time the crash planet (Earth) was about to be hit by extinction level event.

reply

Well said.

This idea could have made for some interesting dialect...but there were only two characters in the situation...and they didn't even speak the same language!

Love the idea but hate the way it was done.

reply

Yes the premise was so good and they could have had so much fun with it, but instead they managed to make it boring and way too serious.

reply

It really takes skill to make a boring adventure film, but they certainly managed!

reply

Yeah it's kind of dull. And a bit repetitive with the chases. Not much variety to the dinosaurs.
