Did you bother to see JL in cinema Nov 2017. If so what did you think?

Are you saying Super-Hero movies shouldn't be fun. After watching Zack Snyder's 4 hour boring punch a thon. Its seems that most of the problems the Weadon cut had. Really came form taking Zack Snyder's massive dump and trying to pair down to 2 hours. And of course the studio wanted it to be two hours. Because they didnt want people falling asleep in the theater. And after the huge bomb that was BvS. They probably didn't want the movie to resemble a funeral. So this time they added some color and some humor. The one thing ill give Weadon cut, it was the first time DCEU Superman actually want to help people and wasn't some emo asshole thinking about himself all the time.

I did. With my friends bringing so many snacks inside. Fun movie with a stupid plot.

I think the whole Doomsday and Superman's death in BvS was unecessary and it made JL had to do acrobatic sommersaults just to bring Superman back. In hindsight, Whedon should've just retconed it.

But we had fun, we laughed, we made fun of it. What a great night!

That was a superhero movie night should be. Superhero movies are not high arts that you need to be serious and appraise every details. That would be silly.

Yeah I saw it but only because I was interested to see how the film was going to play out and see how it continued the threads from BvS, particularly the whole Superman scenario.

The film was ok. I give it a 5/10. It lacked style, tension, build up, development, too kid-friendly in my opinion, story wasn't interesting, the vilian was horrible, and I hated how Batman was utilized in the film.

The Snyder Cut is a major improvement but I still don't think its that great. They improved many of the flaws I had with the theatrical like I mentioned but they still couldve done a much better job with the villains storyline. Steppenwolf was set up fantastically but as the film went on, he became less interesting and I didn't care for any of his schemes. Overall, major improvement but still not that great.

2021: 2/10

I liked it a little better than BvS, but for the most part I feel that these DC movies have been rather uneven.
