Yep, viewership tanked hard after the opening week. It was obvious from afar. Maybe they should've went with CBS to survive like Picard and Discovery. :P

shareI enjoyed the show and thought that it did the original justice. Obviously there are big differences but it held true to the spirit of the original well enough. It fucked up in some places but strangely did a better job with the Spike/vicious arc. I even grew to like Cho's Spike. Cast was great. 7.5/10
It is probably best that it was cancelled. The way they presented Ed was torturous. Ed is zany all by herself. Her quirkiness made you love her in spite of it all. They made the mistake of overdoing Ed with cooky music and weird camera lens shit. They accentuated the wrong thing. It could have been corrected in S2 but this was a bad sign.
R.I.P. Cowboy Bebop. Didn't think I'd see you on the river again. Fair weather to ya, Cowboys. We'll carry that weight.
I would have watched a second season ... wasn't that bad ...
