it just was added to netflix this past week. i'm watching it tonight for the 8 billionth time, & it's still awesome.
some cliches? a few contrivances? absolutely. but it is a first tier male weepie.
i wish frank grillo was my life coach. every time i have a little trouble or doubt, he'd just lean in & whisper 'let's go do this' and everything would be fine.

shareYep. Great film a bit like MMA's version of Rocky. Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte are great in it. The fight scenes are awesome. And it's got heart to it which makes it stand above a lot sport themed films and also the ending, if you ain't a little teary end the I don't know what will.
shareI saw it years ago. Thought it was pretty good and entertaining. Haven't watched it since though so could use a rewatch.
