So with Bruce assumed to be dead and buried, how do you think he got along in Italy with no legal identity? Did he have secret stashes of resources he could dip into? Did he get some lousy job under a fake name?

shareUnfortunately, this is one of those questions that beg to be responded with "Because he's Batman". Batman Arkham Knight(for those who played the game), ends with a very similar scenario. It's a better ending than Rises actually, imo. Anyways, the movie didn't really need to address this.
shareThe dude is a billionaire. With that kind of money, it would be easy to buy himself anonymity and/or a new identity.

Hardly a stretch to think he could have set up accounts, dummy corporations and shell companies under fake identities for himself to use if he ever had to disappear. We know that he's not above doing 'espionage' style missions on foreign soil either, so it would also be a handy thing to be able to access untraceable funds abroad, much like a secret service agent.
It would be more surprising if he HADN'T had such systems in place for years for such circumstances.

share...but on second thought, wasn't Bruce basically bankrupt in this movie due to shelving the clean energy project? He couldn't even afford the electric bill for his house anymore.

shareOverall I liked this movie but the two biggest plot holes for me were:
1) When in the underground prison, Bruce's leg/knee seem inexplicably healed when earlier in the film he needed a high tech brace to be able to operate normally.
2) Once he escaped from the prison it's not explained how he managed to get back into Gotham since the island was sealed off from people entering and leaving.
Definitely not a perfect movie but the atmosphere and performances from almost all involved was enough to make it enjoyable for me that I could look past its imperfections.

shareI just watched this last night and I think they mention at the end that the rare and expensive pearl necklace that Selena stole earlier in the film was missing. It is the first clue that Bruce is still alive because he had it last.
