Everything that ties into Kingpin is an A, everything else isn't.

And this isn't my D'onofrio bias. Even when he's not on screen, whenever the story focuses on the conflict between Maya and Fisk, my eyes light up and it feels like I'm watching something of genuine quality. Not dumbed down MCU stuff, but a well written action drama that's worth watching. I loved seeing Maya being trained by Fisk to take out his enemies (and unlike Black Widow you actually feel force and power in her hits), loved the train heist scene despite the sketchy green screen.

Everything else was a giant dud. The trite family drama we've seen a million times in the MCU sucked. Hated that boring grandma bitch, and the awful actress slured a lot of plot important lines. The whole connection to the ancestors was vague and not well explained. That stupid sports scene from 1200 AD was a huge drag and felt like filler. The thing felt like two shows stitched together, one a very entertaining crime thriller, the other another basic bitch MCU cosmic soap opera, and they didn't flow together at all. You could tell the showrunner made the plan to switch to the Netflix tone too late into production and the result was kind of a weird nebulous blob.

5 episode show felt like 9 episode filler 1 episode actual plot LMAO.
I swear Hollywood stopped hiring producers, writers and directors based on merit. None of these liberal arts rejects should've been allowed anywhere near the sets.
