Overated?

Apart of some great acting there is not much to watch here. Hugh is this clever mastermind but doesn't realize when his GF hands the code right in front of him?

The other women starts spilling the secret because her husband is cheating on him?

Watched three episodes back to back and really not much that's really interesting.

We are on the fifth episode and love it. Overrated? Not in my opinion. It's a slow-burn, espionage thriller with great cinematography, beautiful sets and gorgeous to look at. The acting is good, all around but not Golden Globe-winning type. So on that awards front, I'm surprised HL and TH won, especially since TH was up against other actors who were more deserved, I thought, i.e. Riz Ahmen and John Turturro. Olivia Coman was fantastic, as always.

I thought the pilot was mediocre - but it got significantly better with each episode. Hugh Laurie and Tom Hollander pretty much made the show. But I was so disappointed with the last episode. I thought it would be a lot more dramatic, but it ends just like that. There is no huge conflict, no genius cat and mouse trick going on, it just felt like the ending was too rushed. It was your standard, expected ending.

It had so much potential, but the ending was just so disappointing. All in all, it was a good show, but not great. I haven't been wowed by TV since the first season of Fargo. Still searching...

Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life!

Watched the series with a couple of friends and we all felt the final episode seemed far fetched and kind of thrown together.

Thought the writing was mediocre at best and as a long time Le Carre fan was expecting a lot more.

Thought the acting was solid and the cinematography was phenomenal in pretty much every episode.
