How do you say the title???

Is it "Godzilla Ex Kong?" Or is it "Godzilla Multiplied By Kong?" Is it "Godzilla First Base Kong?" ( Coz 3 Xes are third base?) Dumb title.

reply

Godzilla "and" Kong.

reply

Then why isn't it a plus sign?

reply

Trolling the internet probably.

reply

Godzilla times Kong

reply

I think it is a trans-species love story, we are going to see some monster sex scenes :)

And an empire of giant reptilian gorillas.

At least I think that is what the title and movie poster are going for.

The background text looks more like "FU" is missing.

"In art or fashion, the use of X indicates a collaboration by two or more artists, e.g. Aaron Koblin x Takashi Kawashima. This application, which originated in Japan, now extends to other kinds of collaboration outside the art world. This usage mimics the use of a similar mark in denoting botanical hybrids, for which scientifically the multiplication × is used, but informally a lowercase "x" is also used."

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X#Other_uses

I don't know how to pronounce it, but it seems to mean collaboration or hybrid.

reply

Okay, your answer actually makes sense. Based on your definition, since Godzilla and Kong are no longer enemies, I'm guessing that the X simply means "and," so the movie is basically "Godzilla and Kong."

reply

or "Godzilla & Kong". Like "Tango & Cash", but that would be boring. The x is mysterious and cool.

reply

Exactly. The reboot will be called Tango x Cash

reply

That sounds gay.

reply

They could have a gay relationship in the reboot between the 2. Or perhaps Tango will have a brother in this one, instead of a sister, and he will me a stripper who Cash develops feelings towards

reply

Well, Cash was already a cross dresser in the movie.

reply

Probably Godzilla & Kong is how it would be pronounced

reply

However it is said, I am very worried about this film.
I was all for an updated version of "King Kong Vs. Godzilla" which I loved as a kid, but rewatching it, realized how hokey it actually was. It was just fun to watch guys in rubber suits smash highly detailed miniature cities.
But in "Godzilla Vs. Kong", for me anyways, everything was going fine (even when Godzilla, supposedly a protector of humanity and the Earth's natural balance, suddenly when crazy and started attacking the human installations) until Kong found that glowing axe and then turned into a monster version of Thor!
From then on, the movie, to me anyways, turned into a joke.

reply

The problem watching those movies with guys in rubber suits smashing highly detailed miniature cities is there was no racial diversity within the cast. Even Kong was an Japanese looking giant ape

reply

On the chance that this was a serious post: why does there need to be racial diversity in the cast? How would that help the film?

reply

I'm not sure. Can you suggest anything?

reply

Not really. The Fast and Furious movies are low-tier fun, but I wouldn’t say the racial diversity was the main reason. Even then, it didn’t feel forced.

The MCU movies were mostly great pre-Endgame, and while they were racially diverse, it was the diversity in powers, skills, and backgrounds that helped them shine. Same thing with X-men.

Having racial diversity can be pretty neat for adding variety, if done right. But if skin color is all you bring to the table, then people aren’t gonna stick around to care. The same goes for gender and sexuality.

reply

Thank you for the insightful post

reply

Can be "ex" or "cross" or "with" or "and" in the meaning. Like a variable. It makes sense since they're fighting for a bit before joining hands.

reply

There are already more literal meanings in English, as in "xxoo", The X represents a kiss, while the O represents a hug.

So ...

OK, that is just too gross for me to continue.

reply

If you multiply Godzilla by Kong, what is the product?
