This is amazing news, I eagerly await the return of Raylan Givens!

Great news. I hope they get a good show runner.

I have mixed feelings. Don't bring it back just to ruin it!!!

I'm with you.

The series was lightning-in-a-bottle where everything came together... an excellent ensemble cast (including some of the best character actors in the business), the tumultuous relationships between various characters, tight plotting and some of the sharpest dialogue ever written for the TV screen.

I think this just edges out Breaking Bad as my personal all time favourite TV series. Just like Breaking Bad, I've never watched this twice because it was so pitch perfect in my mind that I'm afraid I'd start to see the flaws if I re-watched it.

It's also one of the few series that finished on a high note. I'd hate to see that undone by a lesser follow-up.

Shows seldom do well when they bring them back. They exist in the period they were made, when they do bring them back they wreck them to suit the morality of the new era.

This is true... even more so when a significant time has passed.

Hell, Brooklyn 99 didn't do well in the time between seasons while it was still running. That last season was excrutiatingly awkward as they bent over backwards trying work in a social justice agenda.

Will & Grace is another example. The original run was pretty good it was just a silly show. When they brought it back it was flooded with politics and SJW/Anti Trumpism's. It was a bore. Characters/Actors get old too obviously, that doesn't always make for great entertainment. The recent Sex & The City reboot, who wants to watch old women trying to get laid?

A show about a cop who likes shooting people? Should be interesting in these twisted times...
