Nothing new, but a decent watch

Surprised there are no posts here for this flick. Basically a retread of Breakdown, but it keeps its pace up over the 90 minutes and is OK for a one time watch. Would've liked more Gerard Butler asskicking scenes (even though he does a good job as usual), but the movie is more about an average guy in a difficult situation than a navy seal working his way through the goons of some high profile villain.

P.S: The guy playing the character Oscar (gas station) seems familiar but is not in the IMDb credits. Is he the one who played the Arab guy in Flightplan that Jodie Foster suspects may have kidnapped her kid?

It was OK, nothing special. I agree that it was a retread of Breakdown. There was one climactic scene (no spoilers) that was ruined by really bad CGI.

Fun fact: This is the second Gerrard Butler movie that is a loose remake of a classic; the first being Den of Thieves, which I think was a decent ripoff of/tribute to Heat

Yeah, that CGI explosion was garbage (who on earth signed that off?)

I'll skip this then. Lousy and lazy CGI is ruining movies at an accelerated pace..

It wasn't a deal-breaker or anything (but surely it can't be that hard for movies to have Pyrotechnics) and you'd think Butler could still warrant a big enough budget to include a few in his movies?

I love the Brian McKnight song at the beginning. Finally Brian gets respect.

I liked it. Not great but def a good 90 min time killer. Keeps you interested.
