It's run time is 2 hours 20 minutes. It's insane

I was watching it. And watching. And then I was finally tired of that nonsense and ridiculous fights. So I decided to fast-forward a little. Thinking we are somewhere not that far from ending.

It was still a middle of the movie. I actually laughed. It really felt like movie should start getting to end. But nope. I was fast forwarding so much that I missed Sofia Boutella being in this movie. She was probably in those parts I skipped.

This movie should have been 1.30 minutes. Then it would get fast and semi-enjoyable. It was 50 minutes too long. And that's why it was drugging forever. Why on earth they did I don't even know.

reply

Current directors seem to think audiences want long movies instead of good movies.

reply

Film editing is almost extinct these days.

reply

fucking agreed.
every new flick i watch.. i can cut at least 40minutes and the story is unaffected

reply

Not sure if they're trying to compete with streaming and feel obligated to give viewers more bang for their buck. Or they're just being lazy.

reply

originally made for stream wasnt it? therefore a movie can be 3-4 hrs like Irishman, Synders Justice League

reply

I don't have patience to watch it 2 hours 20 minutes on stream too. No one does. Eventually people just start fast forwarding.

reply

I think most of the scenes in the movie were fine being there, just WAY too long. The colored smoke dance scene felt like it would never end.

reply

It was fun for whole 20 seconds. But then it never end. Not to mention that stupid ice skating on oil nonsense. Which was going for eternity too.

Really, it's like every scene was going on 5 minutes too long that it should have been. It's like they forgot to hire Editor and just put together everything they shot.

reply

yes, the ice skating was definitely another one, and her and him fighting on the refinery at the end.

reply

That scene was terribly overdone. As mentioned below, the oil skating was equally overdone.

reply

Just when you hoped it was over another 45 minutes appeared 1/10
Terrible, pure trash.

reply

I agree it was longer than it should have been.

Hollywood started putting out long movies during the Covid years. People were at home, and I guess they were trying to appease the masses. Somehow they have forgotten that those days are gone and that we don't need movies this long. If a movie is gonna go beyond 2hrs, it needs to be good. This was not it.
