What year Barbie was set in? It really felt like it was some 1995

This movie felt like it came straight from the 90-th. With the whole narrative: "Girl power, freedom to women, let women work, women don’t get jobs at high up"....

Like... its not like this now. I remember how it was in the 90-th and early 00-th. Everyone fought for womens rights and they succeeded. That why it was weird to see that Mattel board with only men and Will Farrell going saying he only saw 2 women having big jobs at his corporation. When you open "Board of Directors" at Mattel site you can count 5 women and 6 men there.

Then Ken and Barbie rolling at the beach in real world and everyone pointing at them since they were wearing colorful outfits. Like beaches in LA are full of crazy people in all outfits and no one pays attention to them. No one would point out like that. People would just mind their own business.
